Prayer of Confession and Repentance

By Shaila Touchton
Holy Spirit, I present my spirit, soul, and body to You now in the unmatchable name of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, I ask You to help me uncover the sins I have committed, known and unknown, in the name of Jesus. I come to the throne of mercy and repent of all my sins, in the name of Jesus. I confess and repent of all sins of my heart, my mouth, and my mind, in the name of Jesus. Lord, forgive me for all my sins that have offended You, known and unknown, in Jesus’ name. Holy Spirit, please forgive me if I ever grieved You in any way, in Jesus’ name. Holy Spirit, I ask You in the name of Jesus to create in me a new heart and a new mind that desires the full obedience of Jesus in my life. Amen

Dressing to Please God or Man?

By Shaila Touchton
The Heart of the Matter The Bible teaches that our outward appearance is a reflection of our inner heart and motivations. In 1 Samuel 16:7, God says, "The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." Therefore, our primary concern should be to please God, not people. Examples of Dressing to Please God or Man 1. Modesty vs. Vanity • God-pleasing: "I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God." (1 Timothy 2:9-10) • Man-pleasing: Dressing to draw attention to oneself, seeking praise and admiration from others. 2. Humility vs. Pride • God-pleasing: "All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, 'God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.'" (1 Peter 5:5) • ...

Personalized Confession for Believer’s Authority

By Shaila Touchton
Acc to Luke 10:19–20, I recognize that Christ has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and overall the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt us. Nevertheless, I don’t rejoice that the spirits are subject to us, but I rejoice that our names are written in heaven. Acc to Ephesians 2:6, God has raised me up with Christ, and made me to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Acc to Psalms 149:6–9, I let the high praises of God be in my mouth, and a two-edged sword in my hand; to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment. All his saints have this honor. Praise the Lord! Acc to Isaiah 54:17, I confess that No weapon formed against me shall prosper; and every tongue that rises against me in judgment I shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of The Lord, and their vindication will come from me, says the ...

Scriptural Prayers to Overcome stress

By Shaila Touchton
I declare that for as long as the stress is not part of God’s plans for my life, it will not take a foothole in my life. I will be prayerful and watchful. I will love the Lord God with all my heart and everything will work out together for my good in accordance to God’s plans and purpose for me (Romans 8:28). I declare God strengthens me in difficult times and I am able to confront each battle with the peace of God and with a clear mindset (John 14:27). Father, I thank You that I can commit every anxiety, every worry and every care to you. I receive from You the peace of God and that peace rules my heart and my mind. My heart and mind are fixed on You; therefore, I have perfect peace. I am an overcomer and I overcome all my problems, circumstances, stress, confusion, anxiety, fear, and worry by the blood of the lamb and by the word of my testimony. Therefore in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I bind the principalities, the powers, and the rulers of the darkness of this world. I bi...
