Father, I trust that you will guide me and protect me from harm. I hear the voice of God because I am his sheep. “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27 El Elyon, I put my faith in you as the most high God and I trust that you will lead me into the promise land even though I can’t see the path clearly. “For we live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 Jehovah Jireh, I believe you are the Lord who will provide for my difficult situation even if it doesn’t look how I expect it to. “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.” Romans 10:11 Father, I don’t know how to fix this or make it better, but I trust you will guide me into victory. “For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4 El Shaddai, the Lord God Almighty, I trust that you will help me to build my life on your principles of love, forgiveness, biblical truth, and worship. “He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid his foundation on the rock. We need to speak positive words, stand in faith, and claim the promises of God for our lives. Scripture confession helps us to focus on positivity and negative thinking is blotted out. God’s Word is filled with truth and guidance to give light in a dark world. We are what God says we are and we need to hold fast to that confession with a fearless consciousness that God’s Word can never fail. Say these scriptures and meditate and reflect upon them. The Lord guides me always; He has satisfied my needs. In a sun[1]scorched land He strengthens my frame. I am like a well-watered garden; like a spring whose waters never fail. Dressing to Please God or Man?

The Heart of the Matter The Bible teaches that our outward appearance is a reflection of our inner heart and motivations. In 1 Samuel 16:7, God says, "The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." Therefore, our primary concern should be to please God, not people. Examples of Dressing to Please God or Man 1. Modesty vs. Vanity • God-pleasing: "I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God."
